What is the Dutch WASH Alliance?

What is the Dutch WASH Alliance?

The Dutch WASH Alliance (DWA) is a consortium of six Dutch NGOs working together towards a society in which everybody makes hygienic use of sustainable water and sanitation.

In our alliance of Simavi, Akvo, AMREF Flying Doctors, ICCO, RAIN and WASTE, we intensify our already ongoing cooperation and coordination in developing countries in order to further increase the effectiveness of our programs and to learn from each other.

Expertise

Every partner in our alliance has its own specific field of expertise within Water Sanitation and Hygiene. As such, our expertise spans the full range of water programs, sanitation solutions and ensuring hygienic living conditions. We combine our local experience, expertise and skills into sustainable, effective and pro-poor WASH services.

Sustainability

Sustainability is the leading principle within our approach. We believe WASH services only endure on the long term when we take into account five sustainability elements: financial, institutional, environmental, technical and social. We call this our FIETS approach.

Work with us

The Alliance was established in 2010 to work together with local NGOs, governments and businesses on sustainable WASH provisions. Are you looking for a professional and experienced partner in WASH? Work with us.
